RarMe is an AppleScript Studio application that uses the command line utility rar (http://www.rarlab.com/) to create RAR archives. In order to use RarMe you must download and install rar.
RarMe 0.2 is a big step up from RarMe 01. It features a slicker interface, tons more features, and more idiot-proofing than before. There are still lots of things to work on, but it's getting there, slowly.
Please note: To help keep the interface consistent over future versions, an Extract tab has been added. This feature is not yet implemented. Extraction is still in progress, and will be included in RarMe 0.3.
RarMe 0.2 still features very little error checking. It just trusts that what you give it is right. So if you type "blobedy" into the volume size box, it'll run with the switch "-vblobedy", which obviously won't work. A future version of RarMe will feature full input verification and error checking.
RarMe 0.2 is developed for use on OS X 10.3, but works fine on 10.2. It just won't look as pretty.
Feedback is always welcome. Please send any bugs, problems, complaints etc. to macstarfish@blueyonder.co.uk. You use RarMe at your own risk!
